FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Below are some frequently asked questions, where you can find your answer.

Reasons Why Embroidery Design Does Not Appear on the Machine

  • Are you using the format supported by your machine? For example, formats such as .dst, .pes, .jef, .vp3, .xxx, .exp are required for different machines.
  • What is a Format?
  • A format is a structure and extension that defines how a file is stored and how it should be opened. It shows how we can read the content of the file, which programs can open it, and which devices it is compatible with.
  • For example:
  • Embroidery machine formats: Special embroidery file extensions like .DST, .PES, .JEF, .VP3, .EXP, .XXX represent the formats that different brands and models can read.
  • Image file formats: Formats like .JPG, .PNG, .SVG, .GIF determine how image files are stored and displayed.
  • Document file formats: Extensions like .PDF, .DOCX, .TXT show how text files should be read.
  • Audio and video formats: Extensions like .MP3, .WAV, .MP4, .AVI determine which media players can play audio and video files.

Make sure that the file is correctly loaded onto the USB. The name of the file you loaded onto the USB should match the name of the file you open on the machine. Please verify this.

The design may exceed the maximum embroidery area of your machine. If it is larger than the embroidery hoop, the machine may not display the file. Make sure the design is within the dimensions supported by your machine. The selected embroidery design should be smaller than your hoop size. Verify this using any embroidery software.

If the design is not centered on the hoop and has moved to the edges, the machine may not display the file for this reason. Adjust your embroidery design to align it to the center of the hoop. Verify the position of the design on the hoop using any embroidery software.

Even if the embroidery design is centered and smaller than the hoop size, it may not appear on the machine if it is positioned vertically. Rotate the design to match the hoop's orientation and try again.

Avoid using Turkish characters, spaces, or excessively long names in file names. Use simple names like “design_001.dst”.

Make sure the file is in the root directory. Some machines may not detect files in subfolders.

Test Whether the File Is Corrupted – You can test whether the file is corrupted by opening it in your embroidery software. Alternatively, try a different file to check if the machine reads other files, or test the file on another embroidery machine.

If your machine does not have a design preview feature, you will need an embroidery viewing program. You may consider consulting the company from which you purchased your embroidery machine.
